Outstanding Women in Business

Old hurdles such as gender barriers have practically been overcome. This is clearly seen in the business world where men and women are sharing opportunities and responsibilities based on qualifications and not gender. In fact, women have contributed greatly to developments in business.

Let’s take a brief look at three such notable women in business; a world-class CEO, an innovative entrepreneur, and a leading consultant, and see how they have helped shape the business world as we know it today.

Carol Bartz (Yahoo!, CEO)

In 2010, CEOs of fifteen Fortune 500 companies were women. One of these influential women in business is Yahoo! President and CEO, Carol Bartz, who became its Chief Executive Officer in early 2009. At that time, Bartz took over the helm of the third most-visited website when its market share was declining. She faced the difficult task of turning the company around and was able to score deals that enabled Yahoo! to maintain and enhance its core business. Despite some expressed doubts that Yahoo!’s position has improved; many believe that Bartz has performed better than expected. Bartz served as CEO at AutoDesk before joining Yahoo!.inspirational women

Anita Roddick (The Body Shop, founder)

Many successful women in business are also ground-breaking entrepreneurs. One such woman was Anita Roddick, founder of the cosmetics firm, The Body Shop. Roddick started her company in England in 1991 and, over the years, it grew to become the world’s second largest beauty products franchise. But The Body Shop is more than just a successful venture; it is a revolutionary way of doing business as well. It was founded on the principles of “ethical consumerism” and fair trading practices, which contributed to the brand’s image. Roddick died in 2007.

Linda Solomon (Deloitte Consulting)

Expert women in business can also be found in the consulting industry. Linda Solomon is a leading consultant at Deloitte. Solomon has a considerable consulting career which began in 1990. She now serves as head of the Deloitte’s Homeland Security consulting services, which is one of the firm’s most important divisions. Solomon has implemented a successful financial optimization program in her sector as well. Solomon was named one of the top 25 consultants in 2010 by ConsultingMag.com.

These three women are only a few examples of how women have influenced the business landscape. This proves that in business competence, not gender, determines success. Women now have better chances of landing in topnotch positions, gone are the days that women are left in their houses to take care of the family home.

Finding Daily Inspiration in Difficult Times

Daily inspiration helps us to stay focused on God’s love, no matter what else is going on in our daily lives. In today’s world there is such a high level of challenge and rapid change happening for most of us, that it has become even more important to find a way to stay connected with our hearts, and with our inner connection with spirit.

There are many ways we can tap into our inner connection with God and spirit; however it is not always simple to do so. The demands of daily life can be compelling, and can cause us to forget our connection to spirit. A regular spiritual practice of meditation or prayer can be very helpful in focusing thought, energy and intention towards God. Even five or ten minutes a day can have a significant beneficial impact on the entire day.

Why Daily Inspiration is so Important Now

The process of spiritual transformation involves the release of everything within us that has been out of balance and out of harmony with God’s love. InspirationalThis process is happening individually and for humanity as a whole at this time. The problems manifesting in our world are an expression of this imbalance, and are being manifest now in order to be transformed.

At this time on the Earth there is a great deal of negative energy surfacing and releasing into the atmosphere of the planet. This is related to the process of global purification that is happening as humanity’s consciousness evolves towards greater connection with spirit, and as the presence of God’s light strengthens on the Earth. The spiritual awakening that is beginning to happen for humanity is illuminating within all of us everything that has been kept separated from God’s love.

These energies that are releasing through the process of purification affect all of us, especially sensitive souls who are attuned to the spiritual levels of reality. Staying connected to a source of spiritual nourishment and inspiration each day helps us to avoid getting immersed in the negative energies that are present, and helps us to feel nourished and sustained during difficult times.

Some people feel these negative energies physically or in their consciousness, some people feel this energy at night in their dreams. Many people now are feeling these energies emotionally, and are not aware that what they are feeling is related to much a larger process than their own individual emotional challenges.

Our individual spiritual healing journey is connected with the larger journey of transformation that is happening for all of humanity. It is not always possible to discern what energy is our own personal healing, and what is related to the larger collective healing process of humanity.

When you become aware of difficult emotions or energies, there are three things that can help to move these out of your body and consciousness.

1. Be aware of what you are feeling at any given moment.
2. Release any judgment or fear associated with the emotions or energies you are experiencing
3. Ask God to transform and transmute the energies and emotions.

During the process of purification it is essential to stay connected with God, with daily inspiration, and with others of like mind and like heart who can share the journey with us and help to strengthen our love and faith. It is not easy to overcome old habits that created unconsciousness and a disconnection from our hearts. Support is needed, and daily spiritual practice and inspiration are the nourishment which sustains us.

Your willingness and commitment to stay connected with God’s love brings many rewards such as greater inner peace, more equanimity during times of challenge, and growing sense of confidence in your ability to feel God’s love. You are also helping the Earth and other people around you, because we are all connected. When you are radiating love and light, and focusing your attention on God’s love, then your presence has a beneficial impact on those around you.

In reaching out to God each day, focusing our hearts on receiving more of God’s love, we are able find a pathway through the challenges of life today. Even during times of difficulty, a new doorway begins to open, towards a new possibility for ourselves and for humanity.

Motivation is Like Taking A Shower Daily

Because you are searching for subjects such as this one, tells me you are some one who is looking to be the best you can be.

This shows me your the type of person who does not just sit back and watch things happen, but makes things happen. This article was designed to inspire you and help you stay motivated to reach the level of success you desire.

Personally I learnt the hard way, that what was required to realize success was daily self help, involving either spending time in a motivating or personal development course on a daily basis, or possibly only spending a minute or two reading a motivational or success quote began so important to reaching my goals I had set, it was wild..

You see just like bathing, staying motivated is not permanent. People should commit to staying with it every day.

If you do not life’s little problems will get in the way and in no time at all you will become stressed and discouraged all over again, however if you start each day and end it on a positive note you will start to train your subconscious in such a way that before long you will begin to stay inspired to create the life you desire.

Want the truth? No personal development, no self improvement and no success, it is that easy.

I would even go so far as to say it is almost impossible to reach the high level of success that you were meant to reach without engaging in personal development.

The biggest excuse people will use is, it is simply impossible to find the time to study a personal development showerprogram… we are just go go go, no time to rest.

I actually do believe this is a problem for people today…

But what if I told you, that you only need 1-2 minutes a day? Even spending that time reading a motivational quote, will play a mind blowing role in changing a persons thoughts by getting them to remain in the game.

Daily motivational quotes may not seem like a lot, but try it and find out for yourself they have a powerful effect on your subconscious. The power behind this strategy is it gets you going, its starts the process of moving forward and it gives you the energy to keep going and take the next step.

Achievement is a journey gang, and it begins with only 1 step, makes no difference how small, in the right direction.

Looking for Inspiration and Motivation

In this day and age, it’s more challenging to find inspiration and motivation. The romantic periods of chivalry and devotion are long gone. We live in a cynical time. Regardless, as sentient human beings, it is up to us to create meaning from the debris of human greed and corruption. A candle burns brightest in the dark. You can draw strength and find beauty even in the most humble and trivial corners of existence. Life is full of positive influence if you know where to look. Here are a few ways to rekindle your passion for life:

1. Try something new. If you find yourself running out of ideas for your next novel, business proposal, web design or anything that requires plenty of mental muscle and creative juices, then go do something different. Dare yourself to find inspiration and motivation in new territory, new activities, new crowds, new anything! Don’t stay stuck in a rut, aim for variety!

2. Hang out with children. Kids say and do the craziest things! Have you ever wondered how little children can have so much energy and enthusiasm for life? It’s because they have little to no hang ups. They don’t sweat the small stuff. They don’t dwell on the negative things that are happening around them, because that only serves to take away their fun! Look at how they’re always coming up with novel ideas, amazing art work, interesting stories, and all sorts of cool things. It’s because they’re easily inspired, and this is possible without the usual things we adults obsess about. Take a page from those kids and just maybe inspiration and motivation will hit you out of nowhere!

3. Visit your sanctuary. It doesn’t matter if you are a believer or an atheist; we all need a place we can call our sanctuary when were going through rough patches in our lives. Your faith can serve as a positive influence in your life by giving you hope even when things appear so dreary. Your private, quiet space far away from the crowd and all distractions can be your refuge where you can easily reflect, recharge and gather your wits and strength in order to get back in the game.

4. Meditate. Let your mind go blank. Or if you can’t stop thinking, then think of good things. Think of your happiest moments, the people you admire because they have been such a positive influence to you and others, your greatest achievements and your dreams for the future. Take at least ten minutes to bask in this invisible happy place until you hit upon ‘nspiration and motivation.

5. Eat your favorite food. There’s something about eating our favorite comfort food that provides us enough inspiration and motivation to carry on even after a bad day. Your boss yells at your entire department for messing up a project, which can be rather soul crushing, but somehow having a slice of apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream does the trick in getting you back on your feet and working on the project like nothing happened. Perhaps the apple pie reminds you of your happy and carefree childhood when your mom used to bake it often for you, so that very memory may fuel your resilience and serve as a balm for your soul. So eat up, be happy and move on!

Cynicism is the poison of existence. A cynical attitude can kill your inspiration and motivation. In order to remain inspired, you need an optimistic and enthusiastic attitude. Look for positive influences you can focus on. You can choose to see a glass as half-full, rather than half-empty. The fastest way to change your life is to change your perspective.

The Essence of a Woman

The Essence of a Woman

When we speak about the essence of a woman – her beauty – we don’t mean “the perfect figure.” The beauty of a woman is first a soulish beauty. We know – it’s a harder jump to make. Many women have lived so long under the pressure to be beautiful.

But stay with the thought for a moment, because it will really help. The beauty of a woman is first a soulful beauty. And yes, many women live it out, own it, inhabit their beauty, and do become more lovely. More alluring. Your true self becomes reflected in your appearance. But it flows from the inside out.

Beauty is what the world longs to experience from a woman. We know that – somewhere down deep, we know it to be true. So hear this:

Beauty is an essence that dwells in every woman.

It was given to her by God. It was given to you.

All around us God’s creation shouts of his beauty and his goodness. The way snow creates a silhouette of lace on a barren tree, the rays of sun streaming forth from a billowing cloud, the sound of a brook trickling over smooth stones, the form of a woman’s body and the face of a child anticipating the arrival of the ice cream truck all speak of God’s good heart if we will have but the eyes to see. The coming of spring after a hard winter is almost too glorious for a soul to bear.

Beauty may be the most powerful thing on earth. Beauty speaks. Beauty invites. Beauty nourishes. Beauty comforts. Beauty inspires. Beauty is transcendent. Beauty draws us to God.

A woman in her glory, a woman of beauty, is a woman who is not striving to become beautiful or worthy or enough. She knows in her quiet center where God dwells that He finds her beautiful, has deemed her worthy and in him, she is enough. In fact, the only thing getting in the way of our being fully captivating and enjoyed is our hiding and striving.

A woman of true beauty is a woman who in the depths of her soul is at rest; trusting God because she has come to know Him to be worthy of her trust.

She exudes a sense of calm; a sense of rest; and invites those around her to rest as well. She speaks comfort; that all is well; that all will be well. A woman of true beauty offers others the grace to be and the room to become. In her presence, one can release the tight sigh that so often grips our hearts, and breathe in the truth that God loves us and he is good.

This is why you must keep asking and discovering the deeper truths of your heart and soul. The whole world longs for the beauty of a woman to be revealed and offered as her greatest gift.

Finding Your Calling – Oprah’s Inspirational Messages

Hi everyone I would like to share with you some excerpts that deeply touch my heart from transcript of Oprah Winfrey’s Final episode on network television in May 2011.

I came across  these inspirational words from a dear friend of mine – who is also a very loving talented writer, Chiao Kee Lim. The messages were sent to me in a divine time. You haven’t seen me updated this blog lately because I was struggling and losing track of my life direction. Thanks to Chiao Kee’s post I feel empowered again. I believe you will find it empowering and inspiring to you too.

“Everybody has a calling, and your real job in life is to figure out what that is and get about the business of doing it. Every time we have seen a person on this stage who is a success in their life, they spoke of the job, and they spoke of the juice that they receive from doing what they knew they were meant to be doing. We saw it in the volunteers who rocked abandoned babies in Atlanta. We saw it with those lovely pie ladies from Cape Cod making those delicious potpies. … We saw it every time Tina Turner, Celine, Bocelli or Lady Gaga lit up the stage with their passion. Because that is what a calling is. It lights you up and it lets you know that you are exactly where you’re supposed to be, doing exactly what you’re supposed to be doing. And that is what I want for all of you and hope that you will take from this show. To live from the heart of yourself. You have to make a living; I understand that. But you also have to know what sparks the light in you so that you, in your own way, can illuminate the world.”

“Each one of you has your own platform. Do not let the trappings here fool you. Mine is a stage in a studio, yours is wherever you are with your own reach, however small or however large that reach is. Maybe it’s 20 people, maybe it’s 30 people, 40 people, your family, your friends, your neighbors, your classmates, your classroom, your co-workers. Wherever you are, that is your platform, your stage, your circle of influence. That is your talk show, and that is where your power lies. In every way, in every day, you are showing people exactly who you are. You’re letting your life speak for you. And when you do that, you will receive in direct proportion to how you give in whatever platform you have.”

“My great wish for all of you who have allowed me to honor my calling through this show is that you carry whatever you’re supposed to be doing, carry that forward and don’t waste any more time. Start embracing the life that is calling you and use your life to serve the world.”

“Nobody but you is responsible for your life. It doesn’t matter what your mama did; it doesn’t matter what your daddy didn’t do. You are responsible for your life. … You are responsible for the energy that you create for yourself, and you’re responsible for the energy that you bring to others.”

“The show has taught me there is a common thread that runs through all of our pain and all of our suffering, and that is unworthiness. Not feeling worthy enough to own the life you were created for. Even people who believe they deserve to be happy and have nice things often don’t feel worthy once they have them.”

“There is a difference, you know, between thinking you deserve to be happy and knowing you are worthy of happiness… the show has taught me you’re worthy because you are born and because you are here. Your being here, your being alive makes worthiness your birthright. You alone are enough.”

“What I’ve gleaned from this show: Whispers are always messages, and if you don’t hear the message, the message turns into a problem. And if you don’t handle the problem, the problem turns into a crisis. And if you don’t handle the crisis, disaster. Your life is speaking to you. What is it saying?”

Inspirational Women – Forgiveness And The Freedom of Letting Go

I have watched this inspirational video many times. It is simple but radiates a beautiful healing power that I want to share with everyone that comes across this website.

I am sure you’ve been hurt in your life before. People say “women give and forgive”. Yes, we women with our compassionate nature can forgive others easily. However, we always carry the pain inside us deeply and subconsciously, especially when you are hurt by someone you trust and love.

For me, personally, I had carried resentment towards my own father for many years. “Holding on to resentment is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die” – Unknown. That’s true! It contracted my heart, my soul, distanced me from true love and freedom. I unknowingly distrusted men, and found it really hard to connect to others. I had very low self-esteem and a lot of self-sabotaging beliefs…

Forgiving was such a healing and uplifting process for me. It liberated me so much from the prisons of the past! It gave me back my joyful soul, the ability to give love and compassion, and inner peace.

So I hope you will be inspired by the message from this beautiful video. Let go of the past, be with the present. You won’t know how much healing and power it can bring back to your life. Give yourself the gift of forgiving.

“You don’t necessarily forget, but you do necessarily forgive” - Unknown

Best wishes,
Ruby

P.S: In my guide about The Power Of Self-Love and Self-Acceptance, I also emphasize on how forgiveness can help you to unleash your power to live a joyful and successful life. If you’re interested to know more about it, click here.

Powerful and Inspirational Women In Every Walk Of Life

I truly wholeheartedly believe that every single woman in this world is beautiful and powerful far beyond what the eyes can see. Each of us is a different flower, born to beautify this charming garden called life in each different way.

Last year I met a prostitute named Daz and had a chance to know about her amazing stories. Life really gave her extraordinary challenges. She was raped when she was a teenager and had a child because of that. On her shoulders were a daughter, a mom, and a younger sister to be taken care of. Therefore all the hard-earned money from prostitution was sent back to Philippines. When I met Daz, she had been beaten up blue and black all over the body the night before. But she was still a cheerful and loving person. She liked reading books, and also dreamed to write her own book.

I told her “God! You have such an incredible strength, love and devotion. I really admire you for that. When you find your right vehicle to ride on this life, you will be extremely successful and may make a huge impact on the world…” Unfortunately, Daz chose to continue being a prostitute because (she thought) that was the only way to earn money for the people she loved and cared about back home.

Some people might look down on women like her – dirty prostitutes. To me, they deserve to be respected and loved no matter what. I am sure nobody wants to be a prostitute. They are just being at a state of life where they’re yet to discover their right vehicle. Prostitution is a vehicle, business is a vehicle, investment is a vehicle… Any other thing that we do to get what we want in life is a vehicle. The question is :”Are you driving a car to cross the ocean?”

Daz’s story is just one in a million stories about women around the world. Very few are prostitutes. But many are stuck like her. Many are living their life for someone else but not themselves like her. Many are not believing in their own beauty and power. Many are driving a car to cross the ocean…

And just like Daz, each woman is born with an incredible power. Unfortunately, most of them are still untapped. That is the biggest waste of talents and life-force particles. Kim Kiyosaki has a beautiful vision that I totally agree: “The next big economic boom will not be from the internet, or China, or India. It will be from empowering women”. Women are going to not only make a huge impact on economy, but also shift this world to abundance of love, happiness and peace.

It’s time to tap into our true power, true greatness…

Cheers,

Ruby

Beauty is transcendent

Hi all hope you’re having a wonderful day!

I recently received this email from Setting Hearts Free and it’s so beautiful that I want to share with you immediately.

“Beauty is transcendent. It is our most immediate experience of the eternal. Think of what it’s like to behold a gorgeous sunset or the ocean at dawn. Remember the ending of a great story.

We yearn to linger, to experience it all our days. Sometimes the beauty is so deep it pierces us with longing. For what? For life as it was meant to be.

Beauty reminds us of a paradise we have never known, but somehow know our hearts were created for. Beauty speaks of heaven to come, when all shall be beautiful. It haunts us with eternity. Beauty says, There is a glory calling to you. And if there is a glory, there is a source of glory. What great goodness could have possibly created this?

All these things are true for any experience of Beauty. But they are especially true when we experience the beauty of a woman – her eyes, her form, her voice, her heart, her spirit, her life. She speaks all of this far more profoundly than anything else in all creation, because she is incarnate; she is personal. It flows to us from an immortal being. She is Beauty through and through.

Beauty is, without question, the most essential and the most misunderstood of all God’s qualities – of all feminine qualities, too. We know it has caused untold pain in the lives of women. But even there something is speaking. Why so much heartache over beauty? We don’t ache over being geniuses, or fabulous hockey players. Women ache over the issue of beauty – they ache to be beautiful, to believe they are beautiful, and they worry over keeping it if ever they can find it.

A woman knows, down in her soul, that she longs to bring beauty to the world. She might be mistaken on how, but she longs for a beauty to unveil. This is not just culture, or the need to “get a man.” This is in her heart, part of her design.

So then how do we support each other in this of all journeys?

Respect each other for the gift we are. In all ways.

Not so we can get what we want from each other, but so that we continue to offer our own gifts to one another in the hopes that it will inspire others to do the same.

You choose if you want to create or consume your life. Are you creating the life you have envisioned or consuming what you currently have every chance you get.

You are the gift everyone else is waiting for. Find your heart, set it free and give it fully.

Dance as if no one is watching, ….! You know the rest.”

Cheers,

Ruby
